As the Company’s Board of Directors contemplated Cotta’s next phase of growth and investment, leadership decided that the timing was right to explore strategic and financial options for the business. Cotta’s ownership and leadership were introduced to Promontory Point Capital and PPC was subsequently engaged to serve as the Company’s investment banker. PPC’s engagement included a three-phase approach involving preparing the company for sale, leading outreach efforts to a targeted list of potential strategic acquirers & private equity firms, and ultimately soliciting offers from competing parties culminating in the signing of a Letter of Intent with Salt Creek Capital. With over 150 completed transactions, Salt Creek Capital partners with experienced industry operators to acquire, invest, and grow privately-held companies. PPC managed the entire engagement and assisted in closing the transaction during the fourth quarter of 2022 representing another successful Done Deal for our firm.
