Andrews Products (“Andrews”) is a designer and manufacturer of high-quality, durable performance improvement products, recognized nationally in the motorcycle, motorsports, and automotive communities. Based in suburban Chicago, Andrews produces superior camshafts and transmission gears for both street and racing applications, primarily sold through distributors and dealers across the United States. The Company boasts an expansive proprietary product portfolio, unmatched within the industry, and has built a well-respected brand for more than 50 years.
As this family-owned business sought to address its succession planning goals, the Company’s accounting firm referred its owners to Promontory Point Capital (PPC). PPC was engaged to explore strategic alternatives for this branded consumer products business, marketing Andrews Products to a targeted audience of strategic parties competing within the aftermarket performance parts sector. After gathering preliminary offers from several competing parties, PPC assisted in negotiating a Letter of Intent with Racing & Performance Holdings, a platform of Taglich Private Equity. R&P Holdings serves as a private equity investment platform for several high-performance aftermarket businesses including AFR, Procar Seats, Race Tec Pistons, and Vortech Superchargers. PPC managed the entire engagement for Andrews Products and assisted in closing the transaction during the fourth quarter of 2024 representing another successful Done Deal for our firm.
